About Matthew

Matthew R. Dellinger is a litigation attorney practicing in New Jersey’s state and federal courts. He focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has represented clients in shareholder disputes, employment litigation, general liability, hospitality, and other complex commercial matters. Matt brings a practical and strategic approach to litigation, achieving favorable results through zealous advocacy coupled with a practical focus.

 

Before joining Lauletta Birnbaum, Matt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert P. Becker Jr. (Ret.) in the Chancery Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Gloucester County. There, he worked on matters involving equitable relief, shareholder disputes, and commercial foreclosures. He subsequently gained broad litigation experience at a South Jersey litigation firm where he represented multiple Fortune 500 clients.

 

Matt is active in the legal community. Matt has delivered continuing education presentations to insurance professionals, including a February 2025 seminar on insurance ethics for the South Jersey Claims Association. In October 2024, he presented a case law update analyzing the New Jersey Supreme Court’s decision in Padilla v. Youn II An at the Association’s in-person meeting. Matt is also committed to pro bono service and has dedicated significant time to providing legal assistance to underserved individuals.

 

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law, concentrating on corporate, labor, and employment law. During law school, Matt was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, received the Best Attorney Award in the school’s internal trial competition, and competed at the national level.

 

Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, surfing, cheering for Philadelphia sports teams, and spending time with friends and family.
